Reproduction, Genetics, Perinatality and Development

Research in human reproduction, genetics, perinatal and neonatal health, and child development constitutes a top priority at the Faculty. Our researchers are particularly active in the fields of human reproduction, perinatal health problems and children’s health. Researchers from various specialties collaborate, bringing together fundamental and clinical sciences. They apply multiple approaches drawing from cellular and molecular biology, genomics and several health-care disciplines.

The major areas of research are:

  • Ontogeny and development
  • Infertility
  • Sexual differentiation
  • Women’s reproduction and health
  • Metabolic disorders
  • Newborn and children’s health
  • Genetics
  • Development associated to hereditary mental retardation
  • Pregnancy
  • Perinatality
  • Oncopaediatrics

Examples of Research
